How to get to the Museum and Exhibition Centre
We are right in the centre of old Leyland Town just a stones throw away from Leyland Cross.
The nearest public car park is outside the Tesco Extra Store. Blue Badge holders can park outside our entrance which is accessed by the driveway at the side of the building.
There are regular buses into Leyland from Preston, Chorley, Wigan, Blackburn etc. with stops on Church Street (by Eagle & Child) and outside Tesco (Tesco Leyland stands A,B or G).
We are just over a mile (about a 20 minute walk) from Leyland Railway Station.
Please note that the building is very old and quite small, our 18th century staircase is quite steep and the main floors are all on different levels. Because of this our toilet facilities are difficult to access and direct wheelchair access is restricted to the reception room only.
However a film is available to view describing the areas of the building which are not easily accessible. We would be pleased to make specific exhibits and documents available for viewing in the study area in our reception.
An induction loop is in operation and assistance dogs are welcome but may be pampered!
